STUDENTS' RESEARCH WORK

The Students'Scientific Society (SSS) has been set up and functions at the Belarus State Economic University. It is a public body with its Emblem and Charter. It unites the university students engaged in research work. The SSS' activity is coordinated by the Academic Council and university administration. The Scientific Staff Training Board supervises this body.

The subjects of the students' scientific research are connected with all stages of the teaching process: students' research - internship - term papers - practical (pre-degree) training. Research results find reflection in papers presented by students at scientific conferences, in reports on internship, in course papers, scientific and degree papers.

Scientific research results, their implementation in educational and production processes are made more profound through students' participation in state-budgeted and self-sustaining research work.

The University students take an active part in conferences and contests at various levels - international, national, and inter-university ones.

49 students took part in the international conferences in 2000, 32 in 2001, 63 in 2002.

Students' motivation to participating in research competitions has considerably increased.
