It is customary to evaluate the performance of enterprises with the help of profit and profitability. However, the absence of normative regulation of the procedure for the formation of the cost of production of gross profit, the general approach to calculating profitability indicators, which does not take into account the specifics of enterprises, their financial condition, casts doubt on the objectivity of such an assessment. An enterprise with large stocks of unclaimed products may have satisfactory profitability indicators. The article proposes the option of evaluating the effectiveness of activities, taking into account the peculiarities of domestic enterprises at the present stage.
