Investing in the Future: BGEU Announces Winners of the "Marketplace of Ideas" Competition

The Belarusian State University of Economics (BSEU) has celebrated the culmination of one of the most anticipated events for young innovators—the finals of the "Marketplace of Ideas" business ideas and projects competition. Twenty finalist teams competed to develop the best concepts ready for implementation in the real economy.

The event was opened by Vice Rector for Research Alexey Bykov. Addressing those present, he emphasized that this intellectual competition is primarily a platform for students to present themselves to future employers, not simply a race for top spots. This is confirmed by the composition of the expert committee, which included active entrepreneurs and representatives of key sectors of the country's economy.

The path to the finals was not easy: out of 35 submitted applications, the jury selected only 20 of the most promising projects. The experts noted the high level of preparation of the participants, emphasizing that almost every project was distinguished by its relevance and original approach to solving modern business problems.

The project presentation format closely resembles a real pitching session: each team has just three minutes to interest the jury with their idea and another seven minutes to provide detailed answers to the experts' questions. The evaluation is based on seven different parameters, and the winners will be determined based on the total points earned in three key categories:
• "Best Initiative for BGEU";
• "Best Business Project";
• "Best Business Idea."

The awards ceremony will take place on April 16, the closing day of the Decade of Student Science.
