Meeting of the Section “Philosophical Problems of Socio-Economic Development” was held at BSEU

On April 14, a meeting of the section “Philosophical Problems of Socio-Economic Development” was held as part of the XIX International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students “National Economy of the Republic of Belarus: Problems and Development Prospects”.

Section jury composition:

  • Golovach A.A. – Head of the Department of Philosophy, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor;
  • Safonova A.S. – Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences;
  • Savlukova E.V. – Assistant of the Department of Philosophy.

Chairperson of the section jury: Pavlova I.V. – Leading Researcher of the Department of Scientific and Methodological Support of State Expertise of the State Institution “BelISA”, Associate Professor.

35 students applied to participate in the section. The following reports were presented, focusing on the philosophical analysis of consumer choice under the influence of advertising, the phenomenon of “second wind”, moral responsibility of the individual in the context of the ecological crisis, problems of intentionality and “naive animism”, connotativity of meanings in classical artistic creativity, the anthropological crisis of modernity, the image of F. Nietzsche as an internet meme, the temporal reality of cinema, the value of luxury goods, the status of the printed book as a luxury object, existentialism in the animated series “Kikoriki”, social advertising, the Taoist model of investment behaviour, as well as the synthesis of aesthetics and economics.
The prize-winning places were distributed as follows:

1st place:

  • Ekimova V.S., Kurian E.V. with the topic “Dialectics of FOMO and JOMO: two modes of personality existence in the digital environment” (BSEU, supervisor – Associate Professor Shendrik V.G.).

2nd place:

  • Savchuk T.V. with the topic “Spiritual and moral values of modern Belarusian youth” (BSEU, supervisor – Associate Professor Shendrik V.G.);
  • Khartanovich U.I., Khomich N.M. with the topic “Transformation of moral values in the era of digitalization” (BSUIR, supervisor – Associate Ratnikova I.M.).

3rd place:

  • Balaganova E.O. with the topic “The influence of religious worldview on economic behaviour” (BSEU, supervisor – Associate Professor Vasilyeva I.L.);
  • Volodkina D.A. with the topic “Connotativity of meanings of classical artistic creativity in modern culture” (supervisor – Professor Pavilch A.A.).

Diploma “Recognition”:

  • Esina Yu.Yu. with the topic “The influence of the school's organisational culture on the formation of a teacher” (Vologda State University, Russian Federation, supervisor – Head of the Department of Philosophy Dryannykh N.V.).
