BOBRUISK BRANCH OF BSEU

On October 1, 1997 the Bobruisk Branch was established as a structural unit of Belarus State Economic University. It was founded on the basis of the Bobruisk Institute of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship.

At present, the Bobruisk Branch of BSEU is the only state educational establishment majoring in economics in the region. During its work in the field of education it trained over 2,000 specialists who are engaged in various industries in the national economy.

The Bobruisk Branch of BSEU today is:

• an educational establishment operating in the field since 1997;
• 600 full-time students and 1,500 part-time students;
• Over 2,000 graduates employed in different fields of the Belarusian economy;
• a solid library (over 80,000 volumes, textbooks and various periodicals);
• 4 educational buildings, lecture halls and classrooms equipped with modern technical facilities, computer classrooms with a local network and an access to the Internet;
• 5 departments:
• Accounting, Analysis and Auditing;
• Higher Mathematics and Informatics ;
• Marketing ;
• Social Disciplines;
• Manufacturing Economics and Management.

The head of the Bobruisk Branch is Vladimir N. Gavrilenko.

Students obtain training here in the following majors:

• Enterprise economics and management (full- and part-time training);
• Accounting, Analysis and Auditing (part-time training);
• Marketing (full- and part-time training);
• Economic Information Science (full-time training);

Training on the basis of specialized secondary education, with a shortened period, is possible, too.

At the Branch we have created all necessary conditions to reveal and develop scientific, artistic and sportive gifts of students. Agreement on cooperation signed with key enterprises and organizations of the region are of great assistance here.

Forms and Terms of Training

Continued education: Full time: 5 years; part time: 5.5 years

Further education: For college and secondary technical school graduates the term is shorter – 4.5 years

Second higher education: Part time: 2 years and 10 months

Specialized classes (preparatory courses) From October to May we organize retraining and upgrading courses.

Students are trained:

• on the state budget financing basis;
• on individual contracts on specialist training, on a paid basis.

Students trained on commercial contracts may get an up to 40 percent discount in case they study with excellent marks and take an active part in research and social life of the School. Transfer to the budget financed training is possible, too.

The branch organizes preparatory courses to train school leavers for centralized testing on Mathematics, Russian and Belarusian and foreign languages (English, German and French). Besides, we provide vocational training, retraining and upgrading courses for computer operators, administrative assistants and accountants (PC application in accounting). The courses provide both evening and part time training and different terms of training. Upon completing the course students get a state certificate.

The graduates get a state diploma of a graduate from the Belarus State Economic University.
