Department of International Business

The Department of International Business was established on September 28, 2001. It is the successor to the Department of International Economic Relations, established in 1991 — the first department in Belarus to start training economists who major in International Economic Relations.

The department employs teachers who, at the beginning of the 1990s, developed teaching and methodological support and began to teach intramural and extramural education students who major in “Economics and Foreign Economic Activitiy Management”, including second higher education.

At the beginning of its creation, the Department of International Business participated in the TEMPUS-TACIS Project "European Union Economy", which was carried out by the Belarus State Economic University in partnership with the University of Lyon-3 named after Jean Moulin (France), the Turin University (Italy) and the Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The staff of the department has 1 Doctors of Science, Economics, 9 Ph.D. in Economics, 2 senior teachers, 1 assistant. The faculty members have been trained in major universities and research centers in the UK, Germany, Italy, China, Russia, USA and France. This allowed them to become familiar with leading scientific schools of world economics, to master modern teaching methods.

The Department focuses on the practice-oriented approach in the training of students, future professionals.
