International Olympic Day at the BSEU!

On June 23, as part of the Youth and Student Marathon, the Belarusian Olympic Academy visited the BSEU, organizing an intellectual tournament for students called "Olympism Experts".

The teams from the faculties tested their knowledge of the history of the Olympic Games, sports, and achievements of Belarusian athletes.

The places were distributed as follows:
1st place - FP;
2nd place - FMEO;
3rd place - FMK.

A particularly pleasant moment of the festive event was the meeting with the first Belarusian Olympic champion Sergei Lavrentyevich Makarenko! The children were able to personally communicate with the legend of Belarusian sports, ask questions about his family, the path to the Olympic summit, overcoming difficulties, and the secrets of success

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the BOA Natalia Valeryevna Aponchuk presented the "Olympic Atlas" to the BGEU sports club as a gift. Sergei Lavrentyevich Makarenko signed and presented the students who asked the most interesting questions with a copy of his memoirs, “From the Brest Fortress to the Olympic Summit.”
