Opening of the 72nd Year-Round Spartakiad at BSEU

On October 7, the 72nd year-round student Spartakiad kicked off at the Belarusian State University of Economics—an event that has long become a symbol of university unity, fortitude, and the continuity of generations.
Sergei Ivanovich Skriba, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, addressed the students with a welcoming speech, wishing them good luck, confidence, and a desire to win.

Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Danilova, Head of the BSEU Sports Club, also emphasized the importance of sports traditions. According to her, sports teach mutual support, fair play, and help preserve the connection between times, strengthening historical memory.

World Aquathlon Champion Anna Maksimova was the event's guest of honor. She encouraged the students to not be afraid of challenges, confidently pursue their goals, and always believe in themselves. The students' vibrant performances made the opening ceremony a true celebration!

The first stage of the Spartakiad was the aquathlon competition, which kicked off the new sports season. Ahead of the participants lies a packed program, exciting events, and numerous opportunities to prove themselves in a variety of disciplines.
