Youth Summit «Russia – Belarus: History. Memory. Victory»

On November 24, the youth summit «Russia – Belarus: History. Memory. Victory» opened at the Belarusian State University of Economics.

Young people from Belarus and Russia discussed key areas of cooperation between the two countries in a panel format. Topics included economic security, technological sovereignty, and the role of youth public diplomacy in strengthening the Union State.

The opening was attended by distinguished guests:
Tatyana Vladimirovna Sadovskaya, First Vice-Rector of BSEU;
Andrei Vasilyevich Basak, Deputy Chairman of the Belaya Rus public organization;
Nikolai Evgenievich Buzin, Member of Parliament, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Human Rights, National Relations, and Mass Media of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly;
Nikolai Leontyevich Myslivets, Director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences;
Artem Vasilyevich Sviridov, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work at BSUPC;
Natalya Vladimirovna Voronova, Chairperson of the Minsk City Organization "Belaya Rus";
Yulia Valentinovna Ozhogina, Head of the Public Relations Department at NGLU.

BSEU First Vice-Rector Tatyana Vladimirovna Sadovskaya emphasized that the shared memory of the heroic past helps maintain peace and develop friendship between peoples.

The summit program included debates by the "Boiling Point" club and a foresight session, "Union State 2035." Students forecasted the future of interstate relations and proposed projects for developing cooperation.

Following a tense discussion, students from Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University emerged victorious.

During the foresight session, participants were divided into five teams, each exploring a different area of ​​cooperation within the Union State. Following the foresight session, the winners were determined:
1st place – the "Culture and Humanitarian Cooperation" team;
2nd place – the "Youth Policy and Civic Engagement" team;
3rd place – the "Economics and Technology" team.

Anastasia Olegovna Bueva , Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics, noted that the youth of Belarus and Russia are united in their desire to honor history, preserve memory, and work together for the prosperity of their countries.

The Belarusian State Economic University's "Belaya Rus" public association expresses its gratitude to the "Belaya Rus" public organization, the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and the Educational Institution "Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus" for their assistance in hosting the summit. We also thank the university administration, the Department of Ideological and Educational Work, and the library for their support.
