Presentation of the Scientific and Practical Commentary on the Law "On Advertising"

On December 4, as part of the Belarusian Legal Forum, University Rector Alexey Vladimirovich Egorov participated in the presentation of the Scientific and Practical Commentary on the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Advertising."
The commentary was prepared by the research team of the Faculty of Law, edited by Professor A.V. Egorov.
The event brought together the publication's authors, government representatives, and practitioners to discuss current issues of law enforcement in the advertising sector.
The presentation was held in the format of an open dialogue. A key feature of the presented commentary is the composition of the author team: representatives of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, the judicial system, and practicing lawyers also contributed to the book. As noted during the presentation, the uniqueness of the publication lies in its combination of the views of scholars and practitioners.
The discussion participants emphasized the timeliness of its publication. In 2024, significant changes were made to the Law "On Advertising," affecting the most dynamic market segments: online advertising, social media, bloggers, and public transportation advertising.
Alexey Vladimirovich noted: "The purpose of this publication is not simply to clarify legal norms, but to provide businesses with a practical tool. The commentary is rich in practical examples that help understand the legislator's rationale and avoid common mistakes that result in penalties."
"We aimed to create a guide that will help eliminate advertising law violations and prevent negative consequences for business entities. This is a direct dialogue between those who write the laws, those who monitor them, and those who implement them," the project's authors emphasized.
We express our gratitude to the management of YurSpektr LLC for their support of this project and look forward to our continued collaboration!
